IVAN:
I wish to remember him as he was in the peak of his years: my
exuberant yet sweet great champion, faithful and tender to the
people he loved. He has given me the thrill of so many wins,
a quiet company during the tiresome journeys towards the rings
where he used to impose himself with his splendid movement, his
intelligent expression, his personality. |

Above all, I wish to remember him later on, during the long
years at home with my family. He has given us affection and the
heredity of so many children to which he has passed on his wonderful
nature. I do not wish to remember him during the last months
of bad luck. Only his eyes reminded me of the old Ivan, eyes
still staring into mine, which one day asked me to put an end
to his days. Good bye Ivan, you will be forever with us.
